What does it mean when ur cell phone says charge complete...then u turn it on and it just shuts off

Same Thing Happened To Me , I was told by the company that I had gotten the phone wet at the plug in, I know I didnt, so she kept trying to get it to charge, Finally she said well it must be the battery, which I had just purchased one several months before, But I did go ahead and get another one ,, it didnt work either ,, it was still doing the same thing you said yours is doing.. I took a Qtip and cleaned out the area where the plug is located .. I think I had just not charged it properly on many occasions, it was pretty drained at one point before this started happening , and thats what it was doing, or thats how it started ,, I just kept charging it .. and It works now ..
