Cell phones at what age?
Im and just got a cell phone for christmas this year, but my friend complains how she doesnt have one. am i too yonug to have a cell phone, or are her parents just stuck in the past?

I personally think youre too young. I dont understand why kids need cell phones unless their parents have gotten rid of the house phone. Maybe a prepaid one in case of emergencies.brbrI got mine when I was and it was one of those ghetto Nokia prepaid quotbrickquot phones. And I paid for it myself. My parents didnt help me out when I used up all my minutes and wanted more. It taught me responsibility.brbr But my husband works for a cell phone company where we live and just about every day he tells me about some man that came in pissed and screaming at my husband because the guys kids ran his phone bill up to as if it was my husbands fault.brbrIm expecting thumbs down for this. But its really a personal issue. There is no right or wrong way to go about it. Some parents feel their kids quotneedquot a cell phone that will most likely be lost or broken before their contract is up. To each his own. My kids arent going to have one until theyre old enough to pay for it themselves prepaid and Im not cosigning for them to get on in contract. They can have one when they can handle the responsibility of it.brbrYour friend is being selfish by complaining about it. If she wants one badly enough, she should save up her own money, buy a prepaid and learn how to conserve her minutes.
